Rare Loetz (LÖTZ) Dark Blue Latticino Footed Bowl

Rare Johann Loetz (Lōtz) Witwe Cobalt & Crystal Latticino Bowl designed by Michael Powolny.

Loetz produced a limited series of cobalt Latticino designs for J&L Lobmeyr which were designed by Powolny around 1918, but they only occasionally come on the market.  These are quite scarce and in over 30 years selling Loetz I've only sold one other Latticino piece of similar design which I've also included a photo.

$4,250 + 75 UPS Insured shipping to continental US.

Latticino is an Italian technique which was very time intensive to produce so not many were made, however the company's production records of this period are incomplete so exact production numbers are unknown, but nearly identical forms are documented in Series III, # 282, 858, 933

7" Diameter x 4" High, made in Czecho-Slovakia, c.1918

See Lōtz Bohemisches Glas, 1880-1940, Vol 2, p.226 #282, p.236 # 858, p.238 #933 for this well documented Powolny form.

See Lōtz Bohemisches Glas, 18890-1940, Vol 1, p.289 #354 for a cloosely related Latticino Design by Powolny.
